What does the person do for a living?

I never lived in the real "White House". This is because the White House was not built until after my husban (George Washington) was president. But sone things that I did for a living was I stayed at Mount Vernon most of the time. When my huband was at war.And I stayed home taking care of the children.

How does this person live?

Well all I really did was take care of the children and the house. And when I took care of the chidren, I would take them out to the park, carnivils , And other things to do to. But when I would do these things with the children, I could'nt do it in pace because news reporters were always surrounding me. And that was how my life was.

Tell me a little bit about the place the person comes from.

I was born June 2, 1731, on a plantation near Williamsburg. i lived in in Chestnut Grove New Kent County, Virginia where i was born. and it was a very bust place where i lived too. the soon i moved to a new place were I married Colonel Daniel Parke Custis in 1750 and lived in his Pumunkey River mansion, "White House". Custis managed the large New Kent County plantation of his father, Councillor John Custis, who lived at the brick house known as Custis Square in Williamsburg.

  5. And my mother(frances jones) was born in 1710 at York county,Virginia. Then in 1730 she married my father.

How did he/she meet his/her death

I had died of "severe fever" on May 22, 1802 at age 70. And was buried at Mount Vernon, and on the day I died these very exact words were said for me...

I rest here behind these gates with my beloved husband George Washington

"Martha Washington was the first presidential widow to receive the free postage "franking" privilege from Congress when she was overwhelmed with the cost of responding to the large number of condolence letters she received upon the death of her husband."

This is where I rest

What is this person “famous” or “infamous” for?

I'm fomous for being the very first ladyof the united states of america and also being married to the frist President of america.

What role did he/she play in the building of our nation

somethings I've done for my nation is when the soilderds were sick.I helped the soilders get there medicen, I would talk to them an care for them too.and when they were well again I would let them rest a little bit longer and then send them out to the battle feild. another thing was when my huban (gorege washington) was sick and had small pox I cared for him and small pox is very deadly in my day so sometimes the smallest things are the most helpful.

Who is your person and when and where was he/she born?

Im george washington's wife. Martha washington. I was born in 17 31 at chestnut grove in new kent county, virginia
